Pigments

In contrast to their dye counterparts, pigments are generally water and solvent insoluble. Pigments can be divided into two classes: organic pigments (composed of carbon compounds) or inorganic pigments (composed of mineral compounds).

Pearlescent pigments are all around us. They are used in a variety of applications including coatings, personal care products, packaging plastics, inks and many other applications.
